Ver 3.0 – Updated for the latest Government advice due to the spread of B.1.1.529 (Omicron) variant

Our priority at Go Shred is the health and safety of our staff and customers and with the concerns around Coronavirus (Covid-19), we wanted to reassure staff, suppliers & clients that we have strong plans in place to support our customers as the spread and nature of the virus evolves.  We will continue the implementation of this plan, until otherwise advised by HM Government.

We respectfully ask that all our clients are patient and comply with our plans & procedures outlined below:

1, We will continue to call at all scheduled and ad hoc clients during this period: unless

  A. Notified otherwise in specific guidance by the UK Government or Local Government
  B. Notified otherwise by your company, in written form, more than three working days in advance.  As current advice is not for businesses to close, rather “office workers who can work from home should do so”, we will assume that your business is open for collections and as such we will be in attendance to service utilising the modified procedures laid out in this document
2. We ask that all clients refrain from placing any tissue products into the shredding receptacles, be they; Secure Cabinets, Secure Wheelie Bins, Secure sacks, Archive Boxes or any other method utilised to store your documents securely
3. Our operatives are instructed to take every precaution at site to protect both them and the client, as outlined below (please note the list is comprehensive, but not exhaustive)
  A. Keep a safe distance from client’s staff members (typically 2 metres) wherever possible
  B. Clients will bring all materials to an area our operatives can collect either outside the building with minimum 2 metre distancing, or in the first room entered in the building (entrance / lobby etc) with nobody within 2 metres of our operative
  C. If any tissue products are observed with the secure materials, to reject this load until the client has arranged for these to be removed in a safe and secure manner
  D. To make sure they are washing their hands on a regular basis before, during and after collections and use hand sanitiser supplied on a regular basis
  E. To follow any additional hygiene requirements at client sites when communicated
  F. To be as efficient with their time on the client premises, in order to lessen their exposure
  G. To communicate to the client, wherever possible, the reasons for the precautions and to carry a copy of this document with them or make the client aware of the existence of this document outlining the Go Shred policy
4. Our operatives and support staff will report to Go Shred Management if they are displaying any of the symptoms of Coronavirus (Covid-19) and proceed to take all measures as outlined in the current HM Government advice for isolating themselves

5. Any delays, interruptions, or cancellations of service to the client will be communicated by Go Shred with speed and with much notice as is possible
